Case 6
This is ureteritis cystica. The ureter has been opened to reveal multiple small glistening "bumps" on the surface. This condition is generally asymptomatic. It results from long-standing chronic inflammation. Nests of transitional epithelium grow downward into the lamina propria and a central cystic space forms.
