WebPath: the Internet Pathology Laboratory for Medical Education

The strength of this WWW site is its content. It is not designed for entertainment. The learning process should be inspirational, just like the view of Bryce Canyon in southern Utah seen at the right. The content at this web site will assist a medical student in achievement of an important goal: passing step 1 of the USMLE examination required to become licensed as a physician.

What has been accomplished with the WebPath site so far:

• The medical students at the University of Utah continue to perform well, allowing the level of difficulty for the courses to be increased

• The medical students perform well on Step 1 of the USMLE examination

• Availablity of multimedia has allowed reduction of contact hours for students, and reduced faculty hours

• High quality teaching resources have been made available to students in the health sciences worldwide
