The Wednesday, April 11, 2012 Library and Information Technology Forum features Jake O’Connor, Program Coordinator, Financial & Business Services, talking about How to Effectively Use YouTube in the Workplace.  Please join us in the Spencer F. and Cleone P. Program Description: Want to learn about using YouTube video in your work environment? In this presentation, Jake O’Connor addresses a number of important points related to the effective use of YouTube. Topics to be covered include:
•    A short history of YouTube
•    Social learning and why it is so successful
•    What is needed to create quality videos
•    How to manage your YouTube account
•    How to take advantage of the resources that YouTube offers
In addition, Jake will provide some examples of what is working for other companies as far as training and social learning goes. After attending this presentation, you will be excited and inspired to do more with YouTube.

Presenter: Jake O’Connor graduated from the University of Utah in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, and currently works in the Travel office under Kori DeHaan, in support of communication, policy, and training. His work experience includes various forms of writing, social media management/consulting, marketing, event planning, and connecting..
