Shawnee Haws received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Utah in 2005, and is a certified Pilates instructor and educator.  Her current clinical practice includes the treatment of many orthopedic conditions with a focus on proper neuromuscular re-education after injury

The person in this position is responsible for assessing and addressing user educational needs, including the needs of remote students and instructors. Age of Champions tells the story of five competitors who sprint, leap, and swim for gold at
the National Senior Olympics. You’ll meet a 100-year-old tennis champion, 86-year-old pole
vaulter, and hard-hitting grandmothers who triumph over the limitations of age.

The filmmakers have partnered with organizations including the National Institute on Aging,
Osher Center, and President’s Council on Fitness to share the entire documentary for free
during the film’s national online premiere, April 18 – 28, 2013.

The Washington Post called the film “infectiously inspiring” and theater audiences across
the country have fallen in love with its light-hearted take on growing older.

  • which food and nutrients can help with depression
  • how the brain is affected when we live at elevations above 2000ft

This is not your typical nutrition presentation….you will leave with information about how and why your environment & nutrition choices can influence your physical and emotional well-being!

Choose any health literacy issue, such as:

  • Failure to take medications correctly
  • Overuse of the emergency room
  • Medical diagnoses being made at later stages

3.  Submit your video to Erica Lake by March 25th.

Contest winners will have their PSA aired on a local TV station, featured on Dr. Vivian Lee’s blog, and promoted on university websites and social media outlets. All participants will be entered into a drawing for a new Kindle.

The Utah Landscapes Exhibit is an examination of the beauty and wonder that can be found throughout Utah via the photographic eye of Steven Leitch.

Steven Leitch has been employed as a Medical Photographer for the University of Utah’s School of Medicine since 1977. During that time, he has seen photography make drastic changes in the field of image capture.

It’s a new age, but despite the ease and automation in today’s digital world, the art, eye and skills of the artist-photographer are still necessary to produce fine art photography.

Throughout this exhibit Steven Leitch has employed the ideals of photography as they were years ago: true, actual, and real. These images of scenic Utah were all taken with digital cameras. He has striven to keep these images just as he saw them.

The exhibit will be accessible during the Library’s open hours:
Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Friday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Saturday 10:00 AM. – 6:00 PM
Sunday 1:00 PM. – 9:00 PM

Presentation and Reception: January 17, 2013 2:00-4:00 PM
