Clinical Team Experience - Interdisciplinary Course, Spring 2012 - University of Utah Health Sciences Center

The Clinical Team Experience (CTE) is an interdisciplinary project that demonstrates the importance of a team approach to health care delivery. Each student will participate in one clinical simulation in which students from several health care disciplines work together to formulate a treatment plan for a standardized patient. Teams consist of students from nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition, communication and speech disorders and medicine.

STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS: Enroll for CTE on one date listed below. You must sign up on a row that represents your program. Please be sure to identify your program in the drop down list when you enter your information. This will insure that you get credit for your participation. You will also be expected to sign in and sign out on a separate roster on the day of the experience. Contact your faculty if you have questions or problems. (See faculty list below.)

1. Click on a date in the list below to view the registration page. Be sure to choose a date where your program is participating. (Programs are listed below the date.)
2. Find the row labeled as your academic program.
3. Click on an "I Select This Date" button and enter your information. (Note: If there are no more "I Select This Date" buttons, all slots are taken on that date. Use the back arrow button to return to the full list of dates and try another.)
4. Enter your information. Please be sure to identify your program in the drop down list when you enter your information. This will insure that you get credit for your participation.
5. Choose your undo code. Make sure you remember the "Undo Code." This will allow you to change your registration if needed.
6. Accept the date by clicking "I am sure". Notice the sign up chart re-displays and some of your information shows that you "got" the slot and it's now reserved. Save or print this information.
7. If you need to change your date, be sure there is another slot available on a date that will work for you. Then, find and click on your name in the chart on the date you no longer want. Click "Undo" and enter your "Undo Code" and see that the slot is available. Return to the screen with the full list of dates and re-register yourself for the new date.

Select a date from the list below. Sign up using the I Select This Date buttons. The buttons will be spread across the table to produce groups of students for each patient encounter. Please scroll to the right to see all available slots.

VERY IMPORTANT

All students must sign up on ONE DATE ONLY. Click the date to register.. Note the room number located below the date. That is the meeting location at 1:00 PM on that date. The programs participating on each date are listed after the room number. The experience is scheduled to be from 1:00 - 5:00 PM.
