Sharon Dennis received her M.S. in Library and Information Science from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. She is currently Librarian for Multimedia Research at the University of Utah Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library.
She is Principal Investigator for a grant funded by the National Library of Medicine entitled "A Model Multimedia Support Center for the Health Sciences" and directs the resulting Knowledge Weavers project. She is Principal Investigator of the Health Education Assets Library (HEAL) project; HEAL is a collaborative project with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and the UCLA School of Medicine. HEAL was funded by the National Science Foundation Digital Library Initiative to create a multimedia database for health sciences education. In addition, she teaches a variety of classes related to technology topics.
Sharon has over fifteen years of experience designing and programming computer-based learning programs in the health sciences. Her computer-based learning programming credits include the Integrated Biochemistry Learning Series (IBLS), a complete medical biochemistry course and PulMeDx, a series of occupational lung cases.
