InfoFair Themes
In choosing themes and featured speakers, input has been
sought from library users as well as library staff. In earlier years,
planning was done by a planning committee. More recently, this input
has been sought via electronic mail and by communication at the monthly
Medical Center Small Computer Users Group meetings, the IAIMS Newsletter,
and other campus-based computer meetings and publications. Choice
of speakers is also highly dependent on funding (e.g., IAIMS grant funds,
and funding assistance from other departments on campus.) Themes
have ranged from: Personal Computer Access To Health Related Databases
in 1983, to Computers In Health Sciences Education in 1986, to Hospital
Information Systems in 1990.
