ALFRED: ALlele FRequency Database: ALFRED has been designed to make allele frequency data on anthropologically defined human population samples readily available to the scientific community and to link these polymorphism data to the molecular genetics-human genome databases. ALFRED's focus is on allele frequencies in diverse anthropologically defined populations. It is not a compendium of human DNA polymorphisms but of frequencies of selected polymorphisms with an emphasis on those that have been studied in multiple populations. Cancer Chemotherapy Manual® (via Facts && Comparisons®): The manual contains three general areas, policies and procedures, information for the health care professional, and information for the patient. It provides detailed information for healthcare professionals including the ordering and administration of chemotherapy, safe handling and extravasation of antineoplastic agents, and combination chemotherapy regimens. More than 100 drug monographs are included detailing supportive and chemotherapy agents along with other drugs used for treatment. The Cancer Chromosomes database, established in 2005, integrated the NCBI/NCI SKY/M-FISH & CGH Database with the NCI Mitelman Database of Chromosome Aberrations and Gene Fusions in Cancer and the NCI Recurrent Aberrations in Cancer Database. The Cancer Chromosomes database made it possible to seamlessly search and retrieve chromosome aberrations (including breakpoints), clinical data, and reference citations from all three databases simultaneously. CiteSeerX: CiteSeerX is a scientific literature digital library and search engine that focuses primarily on the literature in computer and information science, providing resources such as algorithms, data, metadata, services, techniques, and software that can be used to promote other digital libraries. CiteSeerX uses Autonomous Citation Indexing (ACI) to automatically create a citation index that can be used for literature search and evaluation. CiteSeerX also computes citation statistics and related documents for all articles cited in the database, not just the indexed articles, and allows browsing the database using citation links. CiteSeerX can show the context of citations to a given paper, allowing a researcher to quickly and easily see what other researchers have to say about an article of interest, provides automatic notification of new citations to given papers, and lists new papers matching a user profile. Common Chemistry: This database contains the CAS Registry Number®, chemical names (both formal and common), molecular formulas, and structures or sequences for ~7800 chemicals of widespread general public interest. These substances are of global commercial use or importance and have been cited 1,000 or more times in the CAS Databases. Examples of substances included are aspirin, biotin, benzoyl peroxide, and boric acid. The Common Chemistry database also includes all 118 elements of the Periodic Table, although not all of the elements may meet the 1,000 references threshold.
