It has the following advantages: 1) It can be taken with or without food. 2) It generally does not make the person more sensitive to sunlight. 3) It has to be taken only once or twice daily. The major disadvantage is cost; the average 100 mg capsule (generic) costs about $1.00, and the brands generally cost about $2.00.
