Ultraviolet B accounts for most of the sunburns and skin cancers that we get, but ultraviolet A penetrates deeper and perhaps is more active in damaging the collagen elastin causing wrinkling, and provides an additive and maybe even synergistic effect to the effects of ultraviolet B.
