Physical Characteristics

    - N20 is a gas at room temperature, is 1 1/2 times denser than air, is colorless, tasteless, and has a slightly sweet odor. It is the only organic gas practical for clinical anesthesia. It is carried in the blood in solution only. It supports combustion as actively as oxygen when present with a flammable anesthetic.
