The patient undergoes and ultrasound evaluation to determine if an ectopic pregnancy is present.

The transvaginal ultrasound reveals no intrauterine pregnancy, no adenexal masses, and no fluid in the cul de sac. She is a compliant individual who desires the pregnancy if it is viable and she and her partner ask you, "What is the next step?"
