The patient returned for serial hCG measurements 48 hours later and also had a serum progesterone performed. The beta hCG was 412 mIU/ml and the serum progesterone level was 4.3 ng/ ml  (the intial beta hCG was 318 mIU/ml). The patient is quite anxious for resolution of the problem and wants to know what can be done to quickly determine the diagnosis. You suggest the following treatment for the patient out of the following options?

a. linear salpingostomy via the laparoscope
b. methotrexate
c. salpingectomy
d. return to the clinic in one month for repeat laboratory evaluation
e. D & C
