The head and greater trochanter of this femur have been chewed off by a carnivore. There are disinctive chew marks around the fractured edges along with this hole created by a canine tooth. The size of this tooth mark suggests that the damge was caused by a relatively small animal - possibly a coyote or domesticated dog.
