Liz Workman received an M.L.I.S. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, plus a B.A. in English, with a minor in Italian from the University of Utah. Before joining the Eccles Library staff, she worked for several years in corporate and public libraries. She is especially interested in consumer health reference.
As the Clinical Librarian, Liz oversees the operations of the Hope Fox Eccles Clinical Library, located in University Hospital. She also teaches workshops and classes. Liz is the director of the goLocalUtah Project which provides free access to health and human services information throughout the state. She also directs the 24 Languages Project, which provides online health brochures in many languages, in visual and audio formats. Liz also contributes to various projects of the Utah Academic Library Consortium.
Liz loves to run. Her other pleasures and obsessions include reading, juggling, hiking, playing the piano, geeky computer stuff, and most of all spending time with her daughter.
