Traditional Latino Medicine
Presented By: Laura Shane McWhorter, PharmD, CDE
This program will address the Latino population in terms of demographics and ethnic subgroups and unique challenges and opportunities of working with the Latino population. Laura will also discuss important aspects of the Latino culture and explain the importance and meaning of key terms, and how knowledge of Latino cultural norms and health beliefs may be applied to help empower the patient to self-manage their diabetes.
