Changing the Face of Medicine: Activity Event for Girls

You are invited to join us for a morning of exciting activities related to women in the health sciences. Join librarians and University students on Saturday, September 8 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library. A light breakfast will be served starting at 9:00 a.m.

Activities Include:

• Meeting students who have chosen medicine, nursing, nutrition, and pharmacy for their career path; and practicing health sciences librarians
• Reading and understanding a nutrition food label
• Taking a physical exam; listening to your heart beat
• Looking through a microscope at microorganisms
• Learning about women who have made a difference in the health of children and adults
• Hands-on experience in the dissection lab from 11:00 a.m.
