Borrow

Borrowing print books requires valid card or permit:

• UCard: Current University of Utah students, staff and faculty
• Utah Academic Library Consortium (UALC):
  Students, staff and faculty with current ID cards from a UALC school, can register their ID card for borrowing privleges
• Library Permits for Utah Residents, non-affiliates of The University of Utah:
  • All campus library borrowing privileges:
    • $100 per year: includes borrowing physical circulating items from Eccles Health Sciences, Marriott & Quinney Law libraries.
  • Eccles Health Sciences Library book borrowing privileges:
    • $50 per year
    • $25 per year (for practicing health care providers in Utah)
    • $15 per quarter

Note: All permits are non-refundable.

• Books, Theses and Documents
  • 60 days, 1 renewal

• Journals
  • 3 days, no renewals
• Recalled item overdue fine: $1.00/day
• Closed Reserve overdue fine: $1.00/hour
• Lost items: replacement costs plus $15.00/processing fees.

Renew

• Books, documents, and theses are allowed one renewal,
  • unless they have been requested by another person, or are more than one week overdue. In these cases, no renewals are allowed.
• Journals cannot be renewed.

   Type in your library number (from your UofU card). Click on "Items Out" to renew your library materials. Remember to log out!
