From 1985 to 2007, the Slice of Life Project
served as a nonprofit, cooperative venture
creating and sharing educational materials
using computers, multimedia, and new media
in health care, health sciences, and medical education.

Slice of Life Videodiscs no longer available.

• We had a good run with the laser-vision 12-inch videodiscs from 1985 to 2005. Twenty years is a worthy record for the use of a technology. That said, this website still contains a great deal of information about the project and its databank of 44,000 images, mostly as an historical record for a far-reaching endeavor and an acknowledgement of Slice of Life's 250 contributors.

Slice of Life Workshops

• Standalone workshops organized and hosted by the Slice of Life itself came to close after the Salt Lake City 2007 conference.
• Beginning in 2008, many Slice of Life inspired activities and sessions became part of the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE), who hosts annual meetings and congresses in many different countries.

• Slice of Life is all internet in its communications and postings. We have discontinued our use of snail mail and will instead post important information and updates about the Slice of Life and related projects via our listserv.
