RealAudio Troubleshooting Tips

Hardware and Software Required: Be sure that you have installed the RealAudio Player (with the browser closed) and that your system is capable of playing RealAudio. You need a 16-bit sound card and speakers, and at least 16 Mb of RAM.

Controlling the Player: Click the Play button (triangle) to begin playing the video. Click the Pause button to pause or the Stop button to stop the audio. Once the audio is playing, you can use the slider bar to move to a different part of the clip. Adjust the volume with the control at the right.

Access Problems: From time to time the Internet may be too congested and have difficulty playing the RealAudio.

  • Stop the clip and try playing it again. Often it will play correctly on the second try.
  • Consider doing the case at another time. The Internet is usually less busy in the morning hours. Lunch time, late afternoon, and early evenings are the most congested.
  • If you are receiving a "Server Error," there is a problem with the server that the Webmasters must address. Please e-mail us and let us know about the problem.
