System Requirements

To use PediCases, you will need a computer setup capable of accessing multimedia on the Web. Please take a few minutes to ensure that your setup conforms to the following.

Hardware and Software

• Computer:
  • Power Macintosh or Pentium with Windows 95 or 98 or NT
  • 16 Mb RAM or more
  • 256-color or better monitor
  • sound card and speakers
  
  
• Internet connection: 28.8 kbps or better
  
  
• Web browser: Netscape Navigator version 3.01 or higher (download)
  or Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher (download).
  
  
• RealVideo playback software: RealPlayer 4.0 or higher, G2 player preferred (download), or, if you choose to listen to audio only, RealAudio Player 3.0 or higher, G2 player preferred (download)

Tips for better viewing

• To see the photographs without scrolling, set your screen display to 800 x 600 pixels or higher.
• Consider hiding the toolbar, location bar, and directory buttons at the top of the screen by deselecting these items in the "Options" menu of your browser.
• Macintosh users: If you are using Netscape 3.0x, set its RAM allocation to a minimum of 12 Mb. To do this, click the Netscape icon once to highlight it, press Command-I to Get Info, and change the "Minimum RAM Required" box to 12000.
