UHSLC quality goals for interlibrary loan:

  1. Access DOCLINE once a day
  2. Make arrangements for backup
  3. Acknowledge requests within 24 hours
  4. Act upon requests within four working days
  5. Comply with copyright laws (use stamp)
  6. Quality control:
    • Complete, clear, and readable copy
    • Stapled at the top
    • Copy of original request attached
    • Special instructions followed (e.g., rush, FAX, do not reduce)
    • Typed label on envelope
    • Any problems noted (e.g. "best copy available")
    • Microforms not reduced
  7. Update SERHOLD holdings every two years
