Wray Collection - NOVEL
Metadata Editing Procedures: CONTENTdm- Wray Collection
Go to
http://content.lib.utah.edu/cgi-bin/admin/start.exe
and enter username and password.
When in CONTENTdm Administration click on the green tab labeled
Collections
.
There use the drop down menu labeled
Current collection:
to select the collection you will be working on.
Click on the
Change
button
Click on the blue tab labeled
Items
In Items, click
Edit
(found in list under
Item administration
, or in blue navigation bar under the Items tab)
Choose your Search method by clicking on
Selected fields
There you can search by identifier., or any other specific field in the collection.
Enter the term, select the field, click
Search
button below.
Once you have found the correct item click on the
metadata
link on the far right side. (CAREFUL: Do not click delete!)
The record will open and you can edit fields.
When done editing click
save changes.
at the very bottom right on the form
When all editing is completed, you must index the collection for the changes to be accessible to the users.
Go to index which is in the blue navigation bar under the items tab.
Click
start index
to index your changes.
In the Wray Collection, the descriptive metadata fields that usually need to be updated are:
Occular Movements,
Subject,
Presenting Symptom,
History,
Clinical,
Neuroimaging,
Anatomy,
Pathology,
Ethology,
Disease/Diagnosis,
Treatment,
References,
Relation-Is Part Of,
Contributor Secondary,
Reviewer,
Date-Digital, and
Date-Orginal
