Carol N. Angstadt received the Ph.D. degree from Purdue University in 1962. Her concentration was in Biochemistry in the Department of Chemistry. She began teaching at Hahnemann School of Medicine in 1962 in the Department of Biological Chemistry. Her current position is Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Hahnemann University.

Her teaching activities have covered medical school, undergraduate and graduate courses in Biochemistry as well as courses in Bionucleonics and Radioimmunoassay at the graduate level. She is currently Course Director for the team-taught Medical Biochemistry in the School of Medicine as well as the instructor for the undergraduate level Biochemistry in the School of Health Sciences and Humanities.

She has developed computer-based learning programs in the topics of amino acid metabolism, purine and pyrimidine metabolism, protein synthesis and nutrition. These programs are part of the Integrated Biochemistry Learning Series. A demonstration of this program is available.
