Another form of glioma is oligodendroglioma, shown here composed of round cells with blue nuclei and a rim of clear cytoplasm (an artifact of formalin fixation). There are small capillaries and a small calcification. This type of glioma tends to be well circumscribed. At low power shown below, there is moderate cellularity and scattered calcifications.
