| Acute renal arterial obstruction in this case led to massive renal infarction in which the entire cortex is pale yellow, with medullary hemorrhage. Renal infarction may be manifested with flank or abdominal pain. Serum lactate dehydrogenase and aspartate aminotransferase may be elevated. |
