Did you know? The Eccles Health Science Library teamed up with the Faust Law and Marriott Libraries in order to create the U’s very own Libraries Innovation Team (L.I.T.)!

The Libraries Innovation Team supports innovation efforts by providing informational resources, tools, and spaces for entrepreneurs. This year, the team expanded into Lassonde Studios for a more centrally located place to meet with students.

Lassonde Studios is also where the Team launched its first L.I.T Sessions this past semester. L.I.T. Sessions are drop-by librarian hours where students can meet with the Libraries Innovation Team to receive comprehensive assistance relating to:

  • Finding topic experts
  • Existing technologies and patents
  • Statistics/data support
  • Use of new technologies
  • Coursework

During this spring semester, the Libraries Innovation Team spoke with over 66 students who were heavily interested in their services as topic experts and using emerging technologies at the libraries.

If students are ever unable to attend the L.I.T. sessions, the Team also offers 1-on 1-and group consultations with their specialized experts.

Stayed tuned to see when they’re at Lassonde Studios in the Fall!
