Exhibit: September 18 – October 31, 2017 (on display during Library Hours)
“Mind-altering drugs have been used throughout the history of America. While some remain socially acceptable, others are outlawed because of their toxic, and intoxicating, characteristics. These classifications have shifted at different times in history, and will continue to change.” – National Library of Medicine, Pick Your Poison
The Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library is hosting the National Library of Medicine’s traveling exhibit Pick Your Poison from September 18 to October 31, 2017. There is a lot to discover over our six weeks of programming, events and displays.
Along with a digital exhibit program available here, there is also a specially curated display (with a gila monster!), screenings of the film Dying in Vein, panel discussions about addiction, and a Halloween event.
All events are at the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library (except where noted). MAP and DIRECTIONS
