Opening reception February 2, 2018 at 4PM

In honor of African American History Month, the Office of Health Equity and Inclusion (OHEI) and the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library (EHSL) at the University of Utah are pleased to invite you to a Celebratory Retrospective on the History of African Americans in Utah. There will be 3 special presentations throughout the exhibit, they are as follows:

Dr. Ron Coleman speaker on History of African Americans in Early Utah. 2/8/18 and 2/15/18

Dr. Wilfred Samuels honoree

Pastor Davis speaker on History of African American Religion/Spirituality in Utah. 2/22/18

The exhibit runs February 2-February 28, 2018 at EHSL and is open during regular library hours. A community reception in honor of African American History Month will be held at EHSL on Friday, February 2, 2018, 4:00-5:30PM. The support of Rev. France Davis, the Calvary Baptist Church, and the J. Willard Marriott Library Special Collection Division in loaning their materials for this exhibit is greatly appreciated.
