I can help you navigate the scholarly communication ecosystem, including: where to publish; how to comply with funder public access requirements; how to manage your scholarly profile, and measure your research impact. I provide instruction on author rights, copyright and Fair Use, and the ethical use of information. I am also responsible for the Eccles Library's collection of information resources, including books, journals, and databases.

As of July 1, 2018, the University of Utah community has access to 2 new nursing resources:


Nursing Reference Center Plus

An evidence-based point-of-care resource to quickly answers nurses’ clinical questions. It includes multimedia (e.g. videos and images), nursing management topics, care plans, leadership and management, continuing education modules, and additional skills. This resource includes continuously updated information, based on the best available evidence in nursing, allied health, and biomedical literature, written specifically for nurses. It also contains cultural competencies, patient education, drug information, reference books, guidelines, legal cases, and research instruments.

CINAHL Complete

CINAHL Complete is the world’s most comprehensive source of full-text for nursing & allied health journals, with over 5,400 journals indexed.  This authoritative file contains full text for many of the most used journals in the CINAHL index,with no embargo. CINAHL Complete is the definitive research tool for all areas of nursing & allied health literature.
