This exhibit seeks to share the experience of a graduate student journeying into the field of Neurobiology. The exhibit will introduce the viewer to some of the fun and fundamental concepts of neurobiology, and how these beautiful and specialized structures called neurons construct our reality.
Artist Bio: Anne Martin is a sixth year graduate student at the University of Utah finishing up her PhD in Neurobiology this Fall. Anne received her BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Georgia in 2007 and worked for several years as a graphic designer before going back to finish her Molecular Biology coursework needed to apply to graduate school. In an effort to share her wonder with others, she started painting the beautifully complex neurons that she was looking at every day. Now she is seeking new ways to explain neuroscientific concepts and ideas through her artwork. You can view more of her artwork, both completed and in progress at hungrybraindesign.com or on Instagram @a_martin. Prints of these pieces, as well as the original artwork, are for sale on Etsy at https://HungryBrainDesign.etsy.com.
