The Tree of Hippocrates Education Studio is retiring.
After 5 great years, The Tree of Hippocrates Education Studio is closing as of April 1, 2023. A major construction and renovation project will soon be underway at the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library, and the anticipated noise and space needs will require a different use of the space other than a quiet studio.
For those who are interested in continuing their podcasting projects, the Library has a mobile podcasting kit available for checkout at the front desk. The kit contains a RODECaster Pro Recorder and two microphones and headphones. An additional kit will be made with the equipment currently in the studio. Contact the library to learn more.
The Tree of Hippocrates Education Studio has been upgraded! THE Studio is now equipped with a “One Button Studio” system. The One Button Studio allows students, faculty, and staff to easily record professional quality videos with just the press of a button. Simply bring a USB flash drive, plug it in, and press the button! The video file automatically saves to your thumb drive.
Examples of Projects that the One Button Studio makes a breeze to accomplish:
- Videos for online instruction & lectures
- Videos for recruitment, training, or professional development seminars
- Creating ePortfolio materials or video essays
- Practicing your public speaking skills
- Using the green screen to add visual effects
- Recording a group interview
- And so much more!
The “one button.” Insert your USB thumb drive, press the button, and the program will give you a five second countdown and begin recording video and audio. When you’re finished recording, press the button again, and your video will be automatically saved to your thumb drive. It’s that easy!
The Tree of Hippocrates Education Studio has been upgraded with new lights, sound treatments, a backdrop system that includes green screen, a new camcorder, and a teleprompter system! If you’re interested in using the teleprompter or green screen make sure to let the front desk know when you’re making your reservation.
The Tree of Hippocrates Education Studio is still fully equipped for your podcast, live stream, graphic & video editing needs. If you have a project idea but not sure how to accomplish it or need additional help with utilizing THE Studio library faculty and staff are always available for consultation.
THE Studio is open to all students, faculty, and staff and available for reservation.
