I am delighted to announce that Elizabeth T. Frakes, MSIS, will be joining the Eccles Health Sciences Library faculty as an Assistant Librarian for Clinical Services October 1, 2019. Elizabeth comes from Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she has given extensive training on systematic reviews, literature searching, and biomedical databases. She has assisted clinical staff and faculty in information technology, decision support, curriculum development and implementation, as well as evidence-based medicine. She constantly works with clinicians through electronic health records, EPIC, and other tools and services. One recent project she collaborated on was a Coursera course aimed at clinical trial recruiters with the purpose of enhancing the recruitment of minorities in clinical trials.

Elizabeth earned a B.A. from Saint Louis University and a Master of Science in Information Science from University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She will be joining the Eccles Library’s Clinical, Research, and Education Team where she will provide research and instruction support to the faculty, staff, and students across UHealth Clinical Services and the health sciences community.

Please join me in welcoming Elizabeth to the University of Utah!
