The Tree of Hippocrates Education (THE) Studio is here for your audio and visual needs for use in projects for teaching and learningIn addition to being a “one button” studio, THE Studio can help in numerous multimedia projects such as lecture capture, video recording, video/teleconferencing, and live streaming. Some of these can also be done at home using software and technology provided by the University of Utah, a blog post explores these “DIY” options further.

For more in-depth educational video/audio support, set up a consultation with the Center for Teaching and Learning.

Lecture Capture

Through THE Studio mac computer, lecture capture is set up with Kaltura CaptureSpace, which is integrated into the University of Utah’s Mediaspace and Canvas systems. Follow instructions or watch a video to learn more about flipping your classroom with the help of THE Studio.

Video Recording

The easiest way to record video in THE Studio is using the one-button software. This software allows students, staff and faculty to easily record professional quality videos with just eh press of a button. Simply bring a USB flashdrive with you (or borrow one from the library) and the recording will save automatically to it.

Video & Teleconferencing

THE Studio is equipped to help you seamlessly video conference into a meeting or consultation. Using the mac computer, you can open up Skype, Zoom or another preferred video conferencing platform and connect with colleagues in a jiff.

Live streaming

Setting up live streaming is effortless with THE Studio. After following our how-to guide and setting up microphones, cameras, and lights in the space, you will be ready to broadcast a quality live-stream event. You can always reach out to a library staff member if you ever have any questions.
