A new digital exhibit, “Utah SOUL: A History of Black Students at the University of Utah,” highlights Black University students from the years 1930 to 1975, with Zelmar R Lawrence being the first.
The exhibit details stories of individual students, such as Zelmar Lawrence and Grover Thompson, student organizations, and a growing roster of Black students during that time period.
