A year has gone by quickly.\u00a0Similarly to one year ago, amidst many changes on campus and through construction, I am deeply grateful for supporters of the Eccles Health Sciences Library and of my colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, we can expect to see new restrooms on each floor of the library, along with two brand-new elevators. Just don’t tell our current elevator that it’s getting replaced–it needs to keep up the good work until the core construction is complete!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine (SFESOM) opens in Fall 2026, there will be an underground connection to the Eccles Health Sciences Library. This connector will place EHSL\u2019s Extended Reality Studio on the same floor as all the other experiential learning in SFESOM and the College of Nursing. EHSL will also gain 6 new study rooms from this renovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eccles Health Sciences Library faculty and staff have accomplished a lot this year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surpassing over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube, EHSL Digital Publishing has received a Silver Play Button Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donna Baluchi received the Leadership In Inclusive Excellence Award<\/a>, nominated by Nena Schvaneveldt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The global library association, OCLC, recognized the Eccles Health Sciences Library in the top 5% of Express Group libraries who lend 100+ a month. The Express group is comprised of just over 1,000 high-performing libraries committed to delivering digital resources within 18 hours or less. <\/p>\n<\/div>
