Gardner Lecture by Donald A. B. Lindberg, M.D., who is the current Director of the <a title=\"National Library of Medicine website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nlm.nih.gov\/\">National Library of Medicine<\/a> in Washington, D.C. He will speak on&#8221;Unsolved Problems in Medical Informatics&#8221; at the Eccles Institute of Human Genetics Auditorium. In 1984 Lindberg was appointed Director of the National Library of Medicine, the world&#8217;s largest biomedical library. From 1992-1995 he served in a concurrent position as founding Director of the National Coordination Office for High Performance Computing and Communications (HPCC) in the Office of Science and Technology Policy, Executive Office of the President.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Donald A.
