Abstract:

Objectives

The Bringing Health Information to the Community (BHIC) blog http://nnlm.gov/bhic/ tracks content use by counting the number of clicks per link posted.  This research project will correlate the number of clicks per link for a resource topic (NLM news, funding opportunities, multilingual resources, senior resources, minority health concerns, etc.) with the topics that subscribers rated most useful based on a survey sent out electronically using SurveyMonkey. Identify the most clicked resource topics, identify the topics subscribers rated most useful and determine if survey results closely align with link clicks.

Methods

Use bitly.com to track link clicks on blog posts, tag blog posts with appropriate resource topic, and use SurveyMonkey to distribute survey to subscribers asking them to rate the usefulness of content per topic.

Results

Results are not complete yet, in progress.

Conclusions

Will be based on the results.
