This gives a dosing schedule for herpes zoster and herpes simplex. Note that the dose for herpes zoster is four times higher than the dose for herpes simplex. The herpes simplex virus is much more sensitive to the antiviral agents than the herpes zoster. Make sure you dose the patient properly.
