Breakout Establishing a Peer-Review for Teaching Materials on the Internet Emmanuel C. Besa, M.D John Bolles, M.S. MCP Hahnemann University University of Washington, Health Sciences Center for Educational Resources Abstract: The Educational Affairs Committee of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) has access to the images of the slide bank and were discussing the educational need of the course directors. One of the increaing needs are standardized cases complete with the necessary images (which are available in a CD-ROM) known as the ASH Slide Bank. The committee had asked that we solicit 4 cases from the membership which will be placed as sharable cases in the Unversity of Washington web site and mirrored in any univeristy web site who uses it in their course. Setting up a review panel and system will be our mandate to make sure the materials use are acceptable and good quality and to set up a standardized cases for use of any medical school through the world wide web. Benefit in Attending Session: This will inform clinicians and pathophysiology courses of the efforst which they can access and participate and not duplicate efforts.
