A Virtual Practicum Developers Consortium?

Summary:

A new model striving for more comprehensive, technology-based health professional education has been developed, along with software tools and production techniques to support development of programs employing this model. A hallmark of applications using this model is their use of advanced multimedia designs and production methods (including digital video and sound). This breakout session is to consider the formation of a consortium of educational software developers who would agree to share experience and other resources to promote the development of virtual practicums dealing with a wide variety of topics in health professional education.

Benefit in Attending Session:

Educators interested in advanced multimedia development may wish to learn and/or apply models and methods to create health professional education programs that are complex, comprehensive, and enjoyable to use.
