Abstract:
Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the WWW, writes: The
Web is more a social creation than a technical one. I designed it for a social
effect - to help people work together - and not as a technical toy. The
ultimate goal of the Web is to support and improve our weblike existence in the
world. skills.fp3 <http://medweb.unibe.ch/skills/>
is an editable Internet-database with the aim to collect internet-contents
(exact: links to internet-contents) about the medical physical examination and
make this available to any interested people. The language of the database is
english. At this moment (Jan. 2000) are 18 different medias available via the
skills.fp3-database, mainly QuickTime- and Real-Media Videos. Everyone is free
to contribute content to this database.
Here's a short list of what we had until the end of
January 2000:
1. Head & Neck
2. Shoulder & Arm & Hand
3. Thorax & Thoracic Spine
4. Abodmen & Lumbar Spine
5. Pelvis
6. Hip & Leg & Foot
7. Systemic (no location)
Benefit in Attending Session:
The attendee will realize how easy to use
editable-web-databases already are - and get to know one, that probably suit
hes needs as medical doctor who sometimes has to refresh his skills about
physical examinations.
