Teaching Anatomy with Holograms and Computer-based Simulations
Michael N. Dalton
University of Utah and Voxel Inc.
ABSTRACT:
Teaching sets of anatomical holographic films will be on display to demonstrate how the virtual cadaver will look in the 21st century. Accompanying Web/CD based simulations using QuickTime/VR technology, with the corresponding computer based tools to create them, will also be shown to demonstrate how course materials can be prepared.
BENEFIT TO PARTICIPANTS ATTENDING SESSION:
Participants will experience holograms that have been used in teaching anatomy. They will see the tools used to create such holograms and simulations of the holograms using QuickTime/VR which can be displayed on the Web or from CD.
