Animation Showcase
ABSTRACT
University of Utah Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library, Medical College of Ohio. A sample of animation talent at the "Slice of Life" Workshop. This demonstration will feature 5-6 artists and their best work, produced with Macromedia's Director and Flash. Participants will be selected from the information in the abstracts. The afternoon demos will allow an in-depth examination of this quick sampler. You need to be at the meeting to participate, but you do not have to be on the program. If you have animations we do not know about, please contact Valeri Craigle (vcraigle@lib.med.utah.edu). We want to show a variety from beginner to advanced. The purpose of the presentation is to excite and interest people who are interested in animation so they can interact with those who have experience. This can best be done in the demonstration area or at the breakout session.
BENEFIT TO PARTICIPANTS ATTENDING SESSION:
Provides an opportunity for attendees at Slice of Life to see what is being done with animation in health sciences education - its benefits and challenges, and allows animators to share experiences.
