ABSTRACT:

Dental Head and Neck Anatomy is a brand new program developed specifically for the Integrated Medical Curriculum (IMC) interactive suite of medical school courseware, published by Gold Standard Multimedia. Authors Lynn Larkin, Ph.D., Thomas Hollinger, Ph.D., and Parker Mahan, Ph.D., DDS, have designed the program to be a practical training guide for the dental professions. Featuring comprehensive coverage of head, neck, tooth, and temporomandibular joint anatomy, the program is organized by chapter and subdivided into sections. Objectives at the beginning of each section help students to focus on important concepts and subject matter. The discussion for each section includes clear, descriptive text and convenient, "pop up" hot-links that reveal additional information upon mouse rollover.

Images of anatomy, including color-coded illustrations and gross photographs, plus numerous clinical animations, appear along with the corresponding text for visual reinforcement. Each section of the program also includes clinical correlations to help students place the material they've just learned into a "real-world" context. Interactive self-evaluation resources include drag-and-drop diagrams for students to match anatomical names with the correct structures, and multiple choice quiz questions with instant feedback and explanations of right and wrong answers.

Other Integrated Medical Curriculum titles are available for integration with Dental Head and Neck Anatomy.
