From Medical Education to Medical Collaboration via Internet

ABSTRACT:

It is easy to put Medical Education online, and it is already happening. It is more challenging to make it attractive. Not that there isn't enough material to illustrate everything. More than ever there is a need for an art of designing educational and medical contents. There is, however, another dimension of Internet and the Web that is not often mentioned, but needs keen attention: collaborative activities. Software design for this concern is slowly but surely unfolding. With particular examples, I would like to point out a few advantages of getting students working together on line as they do unite naturally in the lab.

BENEFIT TO PARTICIPANTS ATTENDING SESSION:

My intention is to keep the participants' attention alive with exciting discoveries. I suppose that they are all interested in cognitive issues and representations, as well as online tools. So am I.
