ABSTRACT:

 

In this half-day tutorial we will work practically with digital video on a semi-professional level.  You cannot learn everything in half a day, but you can get an introduction and help in starting in this bewildering and complex area.  Each participant will get a CD with numerous video clips to work on, freeware and demo programs as well as links to many useful websites.  We will work with a combination of demos and hands-on on the PC platform.

- - Compare Windows Media, QT and Real

-- QuickTime Pro

--Virtual Dub and DivX

 

More advanced editing with Adobe Premiere

- Preparing your video for viewing on PC and Web

- - Preparing your video for VCD, SVCD, and DVD

- - Practical setup of a broadcast using Windows Media Encoder

- - Introduction to Windows media server and Darwin QT streaming server

 

Who should attend?

Not for beginners and not for experts, but for those who may have just started with DV and want to advance or who are considering buying DV hardware and software.  Lecture/Demo/Hands-on.  Limited to 20
