ABSTRACT:

Macromedia Flash MX is the standard for delivering low-bandwidth vector animation and interactivity over the Web.  Increasingly, designers of educational media-based tools are required to apply their skills to developing in Flash

This full day hands-on workshop is for those who are familiar with Flash MX and would like to take their understanding of its animation and interactivity to a more advanced level.  We will focus on the object-oriented capabilities of Flash MX including using ActionScript to dynamically create, draw, and animate movie clips.  We'll also look at referencing object events from the timeline, working with variables, components, and ActionScript best practices.

BENEFIT TO PARTICIPANTS ATTENDING SESSION:

Participants in this Pre-Workshop will benefit from hands-on instruction of concepts that they may apply to realistic project parameters.  This workshop may be of particular interest to media designers developing we-based animation and interactive tools.
