Mobipocket as a Tool for Logging and Content Delivery on Personal Digital Assistants (PDA’s)

ABSTRACT:

Mobipocket is an interactive document reader available at http://www.mobipocket.com/. This software offers several possibilities for deploying information to medical students: eBooks, eNews and eDocs. The latter two will be presented in detail, with emphasis on developing a user-friendly environment that permits teachers to deliver their content for mobile platforms, both on Palm OS and Pocket PC. Also, this software offers a way of interacting with the students without having a complete WiFi solution available. This provides a good basis for developing a logbook to support an electronic portfolio.

BENEFIT TO PARTICIPANTS ATTENDING SESSION:

Web developers and teachers can get ideas on how to deliver educational content on mobile platforms in a fast and comfortable way using Mobipocket software. Besides, user input is accepted as well, providing a good basis to build an electronic logbook.
