Use of Simple Case Simulation in Medical Education

ABSTRACT:

We developed a template in Authorware for generating simple cases. With Authorware it is easy to enter questions and answers in the template around different disease subjects or cases. It is also possible to relate the subject with background material. All kind of contents can be related, files like: .fla, .mov, .avi, .pps, .pdf, .mp3, .doc etc. The background material can be placed centrally and made available for different subjects.

This template is useful to present educational material in questions and answers. In our study program, students have a week to prepare for the Otolaryngology clerkship. We have entered the knowledge content in 100 cases. In this week the students can study these cases and the adherent background material.

BENEFIT TO PARTICIPANTS ATTENDING SESSION:

We will demonstrate the outlook of the cases and the relations with the background material and the way the content can be entered in the template.
